WHAT IS KEEPR?
keepr® is the platform built for digital collecting and trading of major league sports similar to that of traditional physical trading cards. Think of us like your digital binder where the digital collectibles you love can live and be easily displayed. The assortment and rarity of each digital card varies greatly by the randomness of each card pulled from the set. By structuring the low price of entry with the possibility of high value makes for a fun and exciting way to collect sets.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
keepr® curates and distributes digital collectibles that use the Dapper Labs platform that acts as an intermediary financial service. By building on their platform, we make it safe and easy to buy, sell and trade collectibles. Dapper Labs has partnered with regulated financial entities to offer safe and protected payment options, with the US Dollar being one of them. Most are familiar with Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and the majority of what keepr® creates will carry that distinction. As with all collectibles, authenticity is paramount. Building on this platform guarantees legitimacy in a fashion nothing in the physical world can compare.
WHY DIGITAL CARDS?
There are definite pros and cons to digital trading cards, but we feel there are enough reasons to make a case to embracing digital cards and including them in your collection. We believe in enhancing the passion you have for any specific interest, thus our mantra “collect what you love.” Staying up-to-date and following new players help enhance your experience. Bringing together a community of like-minded individuals with shared passions is something keepr® brings to the table. Physical and Digital cards aren’t mutually exclusive, they just help grow the hobby.
DO THE PLAYERS BENEFIT WITH DIGITAL CARDS?
Absolutely. One of the biggest benefits of buying, selling, and trading digital cards is that much of the proceeds go back to the players and the league organizations in both initial and residual sales. Some NFTs that are player direct will have a higher portion given to the actual player every time the trading card gets bought and sold. It’s the way it should be.
CHIBI AVATAR MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
keepr® is a contained community and will present enhanced avatars for users to show their fandom, their personality, and their passion. Additionally, some avatars on keepr® will have built in utility across the totality of keepr’s offerings (increased odds, early access, discounted pricing) or communal perks (exclusive discord, real-world discounts, and in-person events.)
IS KEEPR AFFORDABLE?
We will endeavor to make our digital collectibles packs as affordable as their physical counterparts. While some digital collectibles will command impractical value, keepr® is committed to an “everyone plays” philosophy and will feature products available for free as soon as Launch Day One.
We at Parkside want to make the experience mirror the tried-and-true experience of opening a physical pack of cards full of exciting and variation of players with common, rare, super-rare, and signature cards. Some digital collectibles come with the physical cards and are special.
One more important change digital collecting necessitates is the owning of a wallet. With Dapper as our partner, users have access to the most secure and reliable wallet in the industry with Dapper Wallet. This wallet, or “pass,” welcomes you to the total world on the FLOW Blockchain. While the wallet is free, every transaction does carry a fee.
GAS FREE DIGITAL CARDS
Dapper has come to be known as the industry’s standard-bearer of the most environmentally friendly NFT minter using an underlying currency called FLOW. New findings suggest that FLOW takes less energy than a Google search or Instagram post! When developing keepr®, our focus is on creating a platform that is attainable, and does not contribute to the climate crisis.
THE KEEPR COLLABORATORS
The future of NFTs and digital collectibles is mostly unwritten, but keepr® intends on integrating licensing partners directly with all releases in ways beyond imagination. Parkside Collectibles and their exclusive NWSL Trading Card license is first up and will release the first ever digital paired with physical sports collectibles.
AUCTIONS/TRADING/COMMUNITY
Our auction platform has been built, but we will wait to grow the community before launching any special auctions. These will be higher end products and often include a physical card sent out to the winner. On platform trading and the community communications feature are currently in development but currently you can access the Discord site under the Community Tab.
BOUNTY CARDS
Parkside Collectibles created a Bounty card and placed it in their 2022 NWSL set. These cards are meant to be able to have an in-person meeting with an athlete and be able to mint your own digital card of it. Follow the instructions on the card and use the email provided on it. When the card gets sent to us, we will mint it and put it in your wallet once you have established one.
IDENTIFICATION VERIFICATION
keepr® does not collect or store any blockchain or financial information on any of its users. However, to be able to have secure, safe and transferable collectibles, it must be attached to the blockchain. Our blockchain partner is Dapper Labs and because FLOW is used, the regulations in place require them to collect personal data for security and anti-fraud purposes. Users will notice that when setting up the wallet, you are on the meetdapper.com website which has security systems in place to protect your data. Dapper requires you to confirm your ID once you hit a limit or when withdrawing funds – but it is also random and can be asked at any time.
